Lymbyc Systym - Falling Together
I’ve been geeking out over this track for a while, celebrating the return (and continued quality) of Lymbyc Systym, one of my favorite bands. They were one of the first bands I found on myspace (wayy back in the day) and I’ve been following them for about 8 years, following them across tons of social media sites and buying every single fucking thing they put out. /rant
Lymbyc Systym carves out their own special groove within the post-rock scene, citing heavy jazz influences and using some rather interesting instruments (such as the clavinet and glockenspiel) to create unique soundscapes that are relaxing but still engaging.
With their newest track, Falling Together, Lymbyc Systym deepens their sound, using a bass synth change things up. It totally works too, creating an organic darkness that blends with their muted melodies.
